Founded in 1971, MTL Company has its headquarters in Luton, the United Kingdom. MTL is a renowned company in the UK, with MTL Group owning production facilities in the UK, the USA, and India. The company has consistently led the international market in industrial process control, particularly in the fields of intrinsic safety, surge protection, and field display terminals. MTL specializes in manufacturing Zener barriers, isolation barriers, multiplexers, displays, and process I/O, collaborating closely with DCS companies and system integrators to provide explosion-proof products for oil, petrochemical, and other industrial plants. Additionally, MTL produces lightning and surge protectors. In China, MTL products have been widely applied in sectors such as chemicals and petrochemicals, water treatment, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, power, cement, pulp and paper, and utility automation.

I. Isolated Safety Barriers (Isolators) and Zener Safety Barriers (Barriers)
Safety Parameter Definitions:
Maximum Allowable Voltage (Um): Ensures the intrinsic safety performance of the barrier's intrinsically safe (IS) side, allowing the highest possible input voltage on the non-IS side.
Maximum Open-Circuit Voltage (Uoc): The maximum voltage at the IS side when open-circuited within the maximum allowable voltage range.
Maximum Short-Circuit Current (Isc): The maximum current at the IS side when short-circuited within the maximum allowable voltage range.
Allowable Distributed Capacitance (Ca): The maximum allowable external capacitance connected to the IS side while ensuring intrinsic safety performance.
Allowable Distributed Inductance (La): The maximum allowable external inductance connected to the IS side while ensuring intrinsic safety performance.
Isolated Safety Barriers integrate the functions of both sensing-side and operating-side isolation barriers. They can provide isolated DC power from a safe area to a hazardous area for transmitters, and transmit the 4-20mA current signals generated by transmitters from the hazardous area to the safe area. They can also transmit standard 4-20mA current signals from the safe area to the hazardous side to drive field actuators.
Power Consumption: Approx. 1.8W (at 24V supply, 20mA output)
Transmitter Supply Voltage: ≥16V
Output Load: 250-680Ω (at 20mA output, 250Ω load)
Temperature Drift: 0.01% F.S/℃
Operating Temperature: -20~+60℃
Suitable Field Devices: Two-wire transmitters, valve positioners, electro/pneumatic devices
